Nashville brought us together, but it was initially online dating that sparked our connection. We swiped right, bonded over our shared Buckeye pride (Ohioans in Nashville, unite!), and our love for all things adventure.
Our first date was at Uncle Julios in Brentwood, TN. Mexican food, margaritas, and nervous butterflies quickly melted away as we talked for hours. It felt like we’d known each other forever.
From spontaneous weekend getaways to family vacations and adventurous road trips with our furry companion, Gatsby, we’ve built a life filled with laughter, shared passions, competition (Karlee kicks Michael’s butt in ping pong) and delicious food at some of our local favorites where we’re known as regulars (Edleys, Umami, and The Hat, anyone?).
What I (Michael) truly admire about Karlee is her depth. She’s compassionate, hardworking, and shares the same values that I hold dear, especially the importance of family and growth. Her passion for life and her drive to chase her dreams inspire me every day.
What I (Karlee) truly admire about Michael is his unwavering support, determination, and his effortless ability to make me laugh even in challenging times, sometimes even just from hearing his laughter (if you know Michael, you know that he has the most infectious laugh). He is absolutely my best friend and makes living life fun.
On New Years Eve 2023, overlooking the Nashville skyline from the 42nd floor of Bourbon Steak, I knew the time was right. With a ring in hand and a heart full of love, I asked Karlee to be my forever partner. Her response? “Oh my god, is it happening?!” followed by a tearful “yes”.
It is indeed happening!
We cant wait to celebrate our love with you and embark on this exciting journey together as husband and wife this October on the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks.
